God Knows Every Word

Joyce Meyer (13)

Joyce: More than conquerors. More than conquerors. I like to tell people, actually God spoke this to my heart one time when I was feeling badly about myself; he said, “you know, Joyce Meyer, you’re no surprise to me. It’s not like I didn’t know all this when I invited you into relationship with me. It’s not like I thought I was getting this perfect person and now I’m all bummed out when I found out that you have flaws.” God knows every word in our mouth that’s still unuttered. He knows thoughts that we have not even thought yet.  He knows every mistake we’re going to make, things that we would think there’s no way we would do that and yet, God already knows and he loves us anyway.

Mark Hankins: Amazing! Someone said God never said, “uh-oh.” in other words, God is never surprised. Actually, it says he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world, which means God said, “I’m going to fix you before you were ever broken.” and the moment we believe that we’re righteous in Christ, redeemed in him, the righteous are as bold as a lion. I like what Paul said in my favorite scripture, 2 Corinthians 2:14, “now thanks be unto God who always causes us to triumph in Christ and makes manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place.”

Joyce Meyer mentioned in other words, Paul had plenty of adversity.  I like to say he could be shipwrecked, snake bit, beat in the head, left for dead all in the same day and stand up and say: now thanks be unto God who always causes me to triumph! Paul literally called himself in 2 Corinthians 12:2: “a man in Christ, ascended to the third heaven.” that means when you’re in Christ, not only do you have victory but you live in two worlds; you have access to the very realm of God. In him, we have access by faith and boldness to God. Then he says, “in Christ… I’m a man in Christ.” well, a man in Christ, Paul said in acts 26, “I think myself happy.” that’s one of my favorite scriptures and he’s standing right in the middle of all the roman leaders and they’re about to condemn him and Paul said, “I am a happy man.” I always thought, “why is he so happy?” because he’s standing right in the place that Jesus told him 30 years before: “you will stand before kings and declare the name of the lord.” and Paul said, “no storm stopped me, nobody could stop me, no devil could stop me. I am a happy man!”

Joyce: we’re going to take a break and we’ll have more about our identity in Christ right after this. – Joyce Meyer ministries.

My life is a waste. I am no fun to be around. I’m a control freak. It’s always gotta be my way. I’ll never amount to anything. I’ll never amount to anything. I’ll never amount to anything. I’ll never amount to anything.

Joyce Meyer: we’re going to take a quick break and we’re also going to hear a little something from my husband, Dave, that I think will be very interesting to you.
