When God’s ready and when you’re ready by Joyce Meyer

Joyce Meyer asks why does it come up so slowly? I don’t do real good with slow. I don’t know about you, but I’m still working on liking slow. That may be one of those things that he’ll just have to change in the twinkling of an eye when he comes to get me. Amen? Amen!: The bible says we’ll all be changed in the twinkling of an eye, so I finally figured out as long as I keep pressing on, whatever is wrong with me, he’ll fix it in that moment before we go into glory. I think liking slow may be one of those things I just might not ever get over. Discouragement, depression is one of the ten things that will not help you to have change, guilt, self-pity, and running to other people and asking them what they think you ought to do. Go to the throne, not the phone. Not to be insulting, but some of the people that you’re asking what you ought to do, don’t even know what they’re doing. We just all love to give advice.

Joyce Meyer Online – You say: when am I gonna change? When are the other people in my life going to change? When, when, when, when, when? I want to know when! In due time. That’s what God says. Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God that in due time, at the appointed time, at the right time. Sometimes God even says: soon. Do you realize in all that, you still don’t know anything? People used to give me that scripture all the time when I was waiting on God for my ministry opportunities: humble yourself under the mighty hand of God and in due time he will exalt you. Be not weary in well doing for in due season you shall reap if you faint not. I thought: if somebody gives me that scripture one more time, I’m going to slap them! Every person that had a prophetic gift that came to our church would pull me out of the crowd, I don’t care where I was sitting, and say: oh, yea, I say unto you, you’re going to do this, this, this, and that; be not weary in well doing for in due season… I used to get all excited about it until I finally figured out I still didn’t know anything! Because do you know what the bottom line is about the when?

When God’s ready and when you’re ready. Sometimes you think you’re waiting on God, but the truth is he’s waiting on you. God waits for us with a whole lot more expectancy than we wait for him. God has high hopes and high expectations for you; otherwise he would not have invested the life of his only son to see you redeemed and brought back to fullness. God is full of hope where you’re concerned! He believes in you more than you’ll ever believe in yourself.

Joyce Meyer Online – They watch you more, I think. Because everybody can do it when things are great, but how you handle things when things are tough is your true character, is where your faith really shows.
